Great environment for sure, friendly neighbors. I would say the only thing I would suggest is that keep the rent price the same for those who are renews for next year.
I have had a great experience with this community. I have felt welcomes as well as been comfortable in my surrounding. On top of that have always felt well communicated
The Oaks on the Square is a short walk from the University of Connecticut campus, making for a convenient place to live. Good college apartment.
I really enjoy living here! Best location for off campus housing, especially since it is right in the heart of Storrs Center. Would definitely recommend.
Best apartment I have ever lived in. Very clean, no problems whatsoever. Not very loud, can't hear many people around us. Would definitely live here again.
The oaks are great! They feature new construction and a tight-knit community through different events hosted by the office. The leasing is also very simple.
The apartment is very nice. The only problem I have is management can be stingy and often does not care about their residents.
These are many people's experiences especially those who lived in building 2 during the flood.
The best of what Storrs has to offer. It’s close to campus and foods, along with great amenities in each room. The staff are friendly and helpful whenever I have questions.
The staff are super nice and friendly. Location is excellent. I would definitely recommend anyone who is trying to look for a place to stay here.
Living at the oaks is the best residential experience at Storrs becuase it is so close to UConn that you don’t even feel like you live off campus. In additional, it is so close to restaurants and market.
The location and quality of the oaks are wonderful, but not sure if it is really worth the price. Extremely expensive. Living there was wonderful, and the only real down side (other than poor wifi) was dealing with the office and staff. I was sent my lease 3 additional times before moving in when I had already signed it months before, and I have heard countless stories about other residents experiencing inconsistencies with what staff members were telling them. If you do live here, make sure to follow up on communications with the office.
I hate the oaks they are expensive for no reason the WiFi sucks here and their office isn’t helpful at all. Don’t live hdfs if given the choice
The location is extremely convenient, as it is in the heart of Storrs Center and close to many eateries, including a supermarket. Overall, it's great for the location.
Leasing process and overall experience so far is good. Have not seen apartment yet so can't say much there. Community rewards is nice though.
The Oaks on the Square is located right outside of the University of Connecticut campus, making it a great off campus living spot for students.
I've only been here for a couple of weeks, but so far everything has been absolutely wonderful. My apartment was clean and ready for move-in and I am excited to be a new resident!
I love living in the Oaks! The best part is how convenient it is since it is so close to the UConn campus. The apartments are up to date and have everything you need. There are great community events here for residents too! I would definitely recommend it others!
Overall, my experience at the Oaks has been positive. The location is convenient, due to both the proximity to the college and to many eateries.
The location is great and optimal for students. It is literally on campus and in the heart of Storrs Center, which is extremely convenient for both entertainment and food.
I love living here because of all the amazing amenities! I enjoy the fitness classes offered at the yoga studio and the events hosted by the community leaders.
I enjoy living so close to the school and so many restaurants. I love the curb appeal for this place. It’s very bright and pretty. There is a nice gym too
Good place to live. Great location close to campus, making it an easy walk to get to class. The parking garage is attached to my building, leading to convenient travel.
Good living environment and nice neighborhood relationship. Office staffs really help me to adopt to living in oaks. There is some issue about the WiFi networks sometimes.
I really enjoy living in the Oaks! The apartments are beautiful, and I especially like the kitchen set up and amenities. The location is fantastic! My only complaint would be the noise level as the walls are thin. Overall, great place to live!
Bad sound isolation！Everyday, I cannot rest well because the big noise made by my roommates and outside noise. Bad WiFi signal! Too slow to do any efficient job.
Oaks on the square is a perfect place for UConn students. The roomy ave everything we need every day, and it’s so close to the university which just like I was living in the dorm. But it is way more better then the dorm
I love living here. It is nice and clean and lovely for students. although I won’t lie. When I was first moving in. It was difficult to deal with the management office. They had messed up our application and never emailed us back so i had to pester someone to give us an apartment because we applied very early and never heard anything back!
Awesome place to live if you want to live off campus but still be close enough to walk! Only complaints would be the noise late at night from local business deliveries and such.
I enjoy living at the oaks. One big downside is the office in building 3. The printers and computers never work. Cannot count on the printers there ever. Other than that, everything is positive.
My experience at the Oaks has been really good so far. I have lived here for over a year and it is everything that I expected and more. I think that one thing that can be worked on is the quality of the utilities in the apartments.
Extremely convenient location, which is close to campus and in the heart of Storrs center. Had several negative experiences with the management office.
Nice neighborhood to live in. Depending on which building you live in the noise can be loud. Also, management could be clearer about fees required when moving in, as well as communication over all in a timely manner.
My experience here has been very good. Maintenance is very friendly but not always fast, but I believe that has more to do with the office and communication.
Living in the oaks on the square this past year was the best year of my life. I loved how convenient everything was and how amazing the apartments were.
This apartment is beautiful with a perfect location. However, upon first moving in there, the apartment was substantially dirty. Also, I got improperly charged multiple times and threatened. All of that aside, I will never regret living in the Oaks!
Great maintenance team. Some staff are friendly others can be rude. Appreciate effort to organize weekly events. Expensive but location is very convenient.
Close to university campus. Parking garage attached directly to my building. Would recommend to others looking for housing close to campus.
Maintenance request filled promptly. Fair utilities pricing. Common areas kept well cleaned. Nice and clean gym. Wish there was better parking options during the winter.
The apartment and location are perfect, and with a lot of other students living in the community it’s really convenient. The appliances and other fixtures aren’t extremely reliable, and the apartments show their wear and tear in some spots since college students typically take a toll on them, but otherwise it is great!
I enjoyed living in the oaks. I found the apartment and utilities up to dAte, clean, and functioning in good condition. Maintenance was efficient and quick to respond. I do wish the rent was less expensive for housing in Storrs, CT and the stairwells and hallways were better kept.
Nice location, apartments are overpriced and look super luxury but aren’t. The office staff are kind of rude depending on who you get it’s not consistent
The location is perfect for going to UCONN. Most of the staff is nice and maintenance is especially helpful. The apartments though somewhat expensive are highly up to date and very comfortable to live in.
The Oaks are in a great location and the apartments are very new and well kept. The only complaints I would have is that it is very over priced and loud.
Apartment was in a good location. Close to campus. Maintenance was accessible and very good. Good food options. Grille 86 was just too loud some nights
Pros include a convenient location within walking distance to campus, stores and the supermarket. At times, throughout the week, the area can be very noisy.
If you're a junior or a senior at UConn and you're looking to step up your college experience and you can afford to do so, the Oaks is a no brainer.
The Oaks is a really convenient place to live, but it doesn't have much else going other than that. It's extremely noisy all day (the windows don't block any noise), the fitness room is WAY too small, the prices are absurdly expensive, and the staff is clueless 90% of the time.
The apartment community was very peaceful. Although I can't say that I built close relations with any of my neighbors there was always a warm hello whenever our paths did cross.
I recently graduated from UConn, so this will be my last year living in the Oaks, unfortunately. But for any juniors or seniors, I would definitely sign the lease!
The apartments are very nice and living here is pleasant. However, the staff could be friendlier. I feel that they can be standoffish and rude
Living here is great! It's a friendly environment with a lot to do. The apartments are cozy and the halls are always kept clean. I would recommend living here.
The upkeep of the cleanliness of the buildings and the availability of the management here has been satisfying. The maintenance workers respond and fix things in the apartments in a timely manner.
Nice Apartment, great area, very close to UConn campus. Wish office staff were more consistent, and I have maintenance requests that were never resolved.
Buildings are clean and employees are friendly. I think the rent is absurdly expensive for what we get though. Also, you can hear EVERYTHING out the windows.
Probably one of the best places to live off campus quality wise. Staff still seems to be confused about what to do but other than that, no complaints.
I really like the community, how close it is to campus and how it is literally above everything I could ever need! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because things often break and I have found that sometimes not everything is the best quality despite the amount of money I pay for rent.
I live in one of the newer buildings next to tea more cafe. Maintenance and staff are really kind and always very helpful and our neighbors are really considerate and friendly. You definitely get what you pay for--the building is clean and the apartments are very spacious including everything you need.
Just so super loud because of Grille 86. The apartments themselves are pretty nice and the location is generally nice so that helps. It just has been bad since Grille 86 opened back up.
I really like living at the Oaks on the Square. Any time we put in a maintenance request, it is taken care of in a very timely manner. I like the all-inclusiveness of heating, water, etc. as well. Great location with UConn and Storrs Center just steps away!
The apartment complex is very close to campus and that is why most of the residents choose to live there. Other than convenience of location it does not have much more going for it. I like that there is a gym, but it is almost always too full to even use. The walls are paper thin and neighbors are very noisy. The noise form outside shops and businesses is extremely loud and wakes me up every single night. They make absurd amounts of noise at very early hours waking up my entire apartment. It is not quiet and the walls and windows do not help. I would live here again because of the location, but there is no option for 2 people 2 bedroom. I want to live with my friend but do not want to share a room and there is no option for just the two of us to do that.
Great spot to live close to campus! Convenient location, parking garage attached to building, great living space, and easy to use appliances.
Mostly good community. Biggest problems are the occasional internet hiccups, the drunk/loud neighbors and the last-minute maintenance notifications.
Nice looking apartment, but the lack of proper insulation and the shoddy installation of appliances detracts from the nice look of it all. Every morning from 7:30 am to 10:30 am garbage trucks empty the dumpsters. Because of the lack of proper insulation the sound in the room reaches about 100 decibels and pullls me out of sleep and wakes me up even on days when I want to sleep in. It’s ridiculous how you send out notices to everyone about staying quiet when the most disruptive and aggressive noise come from trucks that the oaks pays to take out the garbage. I understand there is a need for trash removal, but this should have been taken into account when the place was built and extra insulation and sound proofing should have been installed in the rooms closest to the dumpsters. Or the area where the dumpsters are placed could be padded as to not make as much noise when the truck slams it to the ground.
Great community, love my apartment! Pretty thin walls in these buildings so noise really travels- but otherwise, the appliances and amenities are great and any necessary maintenance requests are answered readily.
The Oaks on the Square is in a great location in Storrs as its walkable to campus and has a nice town center with great restaurants and convenient stores.
The Oaks is a great location and the aesthetically the apartments look clean and new, although they are not quality (e.g. thin walls). On the other hand there is terrible WiFi, mediocre service, and way to expensive for what we get in return.
A little pricey, but the features are worth it! Pet-friendly and most of the staff is nice. Rent is easy and there are tons of events and giveaways for residents. The appliances are good and maintenance is fast and efficient.
Apartments are well-built and maintenance is always fantastic. Front office sometimes gets payments incorrect and says I owe more than I actually do.
Really just a great apartment overall. It’s really nice having my own washing machine and the office is very accessible whenever I have any issues.
Good location, helpful office staff. The only downfall would be the random visits from maintenance while sleeping; it's scary living alone and waking up from your nap to people in your apartment.
What i like about the oaks is that the maintenance staff is very friendly and doing their job to make the oaks a nice, enjoyable place to live. the only real problem I have is the noise is really loud most nights. the walls are pretty thin and windows as well
Too loud, too expensive, things are constantly breaking, staff is unfriendly. No one responds to emails sent and questions about electricity and splitting the bill.
Great location although the company that runs the apartments slacks in certain areas especially wifi and staffing. Other amenities are great such as the cable, air conditioning, and heat. Appliances are wonderful. Rent increases rapidly every year and parking is expensive.
The amenities and location are great! I love the gym and the fact that tons of food options are only a flight of stairs away. The apartments are beautiful and brand new. Sometimes, however, customer service is poor. I have gotten several extra charges that were later discovered to be mistakes and that is just something that cannot be allowed.
I love living at the Oaks on the Square! It is such a delightful community and is always very lively. The staff always have fun activities and free food during busy times.
So far so good! Living in the oaks is convenient with a great location and available parking. We have already resigned our lease for next year.
I really love the oaks, and how clean it is around here. Also very close to campus which is great I wish they did more community events though
The location is extremely convenient, in the sense that it's close to the supermarket and the community center. The neighborhood is relatively safe too.
The oaks is in a prime location for UConn students, and the facilities are top notch for my first apartment. The staff puts on fun resident events like breakfasts on the go and trail mix making, which I️ love! All of the staff is really nice and helpful as well.
Great community, love the package concierge. Would probably stay here again just because of the concierge. The office employees are mostly helpful. The maintenance and cleaning staff are spectacular, always super friendly. I love having shops and restaurants a minute walk away from me.
I really enjoy living in the oaks on the square! The wifi has been improved and the package concierge is open 24/7, which is really convenient.
Great/convenient location as it is in close proximity to shops, restaurants, grocery store and walking distance to the Mansfield Community Center.
I really love living here. There are so many great amenities and the staff is great. The apartment is beautiful and updated, and I have no complaints thus far!
Best quality housing around UConn. Location is great. Second year living in The Oaks and I have not had any issues. Definitely recommend it.
I love it at the oaks. The apartments are clean and have everything that you would need. I love the area as well, all of the restaurants and stores make this location extremely convenient.
Most amazing experience, beautiful place to live, have free access to gym as well as laundry and a kitchen. Granite counters and hard wood floors
You can't beat the location- it's so close to campus and right in Storrs Center. Getting shopping done is a breeze, and the apartments are very nice.
Other than some of the noisy neighbors, it’s been great! The community is so welcoming and it is such a convienient place to live especially being a UConn student.
The community is good, I really enjoy the amenities that come with the apartment. However, the Internet service is not that great and that needs to be worked on.
So far, I have enjoyed my Oaks on the Square living experience! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the apartments are beautiful. Would recommend to anyone interested in living off-campus, due to its proximity to both the UConn campus and the resources that Storrs center offers.
Living here has been wonderful, the Oaks has been quite accommodating with just about everything. The apartments themselves are top-notch, and the staff has been extremely helpful and responsive to all concerns.
I love the Oaks. The community can be quiet and peaceful but if you want you can always find something fun to do! My roommate and I could not be happier with our location and the space of our apartment!
Very nice living space and location. We were offered a very nice corner apartment and it is 100% worth it. The workers are always nice and ready to help.
I love living in the Oaks. The location is amazing. I can walk to all of my classes! Living in the Oaks feels like a home away from home! I love having the gym in my building and many great restaurants within a 2 minute walk.
Our Apartment has been great! Very spacious, the amenities have been wonderful. The view is awesome and overall it has been a great experience
I really like living here. The washer and dryer is fantastic. Also the study room is very nice. It is close to restaurants and campus very convient. However the sound proof system is not as good
I enjoy the community because of the location; it is right in the center of lot of shops and restaurants. On the other hand, I do not enjoy the weak wifi and how hard it is to get a problem solved with the staff.
I really enjoy living at the oaks. The apartments has great amenities, (gym and study center which I go often) they are easy to access. Also the apartments are very close to campus which is convenient
An overall really great place to live! Amenities are great. The application process is confusing and I think the staff could do better in that aspect.
Very nice people, great location, and pretty great accommodations! Also the staff are really wonderful and help you with anything you may need!
I love living here! We always have maintenance when we need them to fix something. The atmosphere of storrs Center also makes living here prime.
Living in the Oaks is awesome! It's a great distance from campus, making it super easy to run back and grab a quick snack between classes. Plus, the free gym classes are awesome!
I moved to the Oaks because of the quality of the facilities and the general aesthetic of neatness and order. While all my expectations were generally met in that regard, I was so pleasantly surprised with the community aspect of the Oaks, and the small-town feel the entirity of Storrs Center has.
Living at the Oaks on the Square is better than I expected. Great location, easy maintenance requests, and fun community events. The only downfall is the cost, but if you manage grocery costs and are careful of using electricity, you’ll be okay.
The oaks on the square is extremely convenient. It is situated in the center of downtown Storrs and has access to multiple shops and restaurants. It is also close to campus and has a bus stop/transportation center within walking distance. It has high end appliances that you cannot find on any college apartment.
Living at the Oaks is a great experience because it is so close to Uconn campus. It’s rooms are beautiful and I loved living here with all of my friends.
So far, it's been really great. I really like the general atmosphere, and the amenities are really quality; I like that I can go to the gym really easily. The proximity to my classes is really convenient as well.
The Oaks on the Square provides a very nice apartment complex ina. very good location for students attending the University of Connecticut. Have had very good experience with maintenance if we have a problem with anything around the apartment!
Living in the oaks is a blast! Being in the center of downtown with lots of things to do is awesome and I highly recommend. There is Price Chopper right next door for easy shopping and lots of restaurants and stores to keep you busy.
I love living within such a short distance from all my friends as well as the shops and restaurants that I love. There are many perks to living in this community.
Management is hard to communicate with, the apartments aren't worth the ridiculous rent they cost. Hard to get in contact with them when you have a problem and they are slow to resolve issues.
I really enjoy the apartment community. I really like the businesses that have gone in in the area, the food selections and entertainment are great and bring the community together.
Super nice apartments for the most part and extremely convenient to walk to class but the management is not reliable or willing to be helpful.
Everything has been so wonderful! I love all the amenities and am so happy to be so close to campus! The oaks honestly is such a safe and happy place to live!
It's been great living here! I love the community, accessibility and the coziness. The Oaks has so many amenities available to its residents, its great!
Great apartments that are close to campus! They are pretty expensive though, for what you get; it’s not like we’re living in the city here. But love all the updated appliances!
Nice apartments but pricey and constantly increasing rent. Great location for those at uconn that don't want a car. Amenities are nice although the building staff seem inexperienced.
Living here is great! The amenities are amazing and the location is really convenient! I really recommend living at The Oaks and I'm really glad I moved here!
The apartments are beautiful and very comfortable. However interaction with management has always been difficult and I have routinely been given misleading information from the representatives of the Oaks on the Square. For example, I was told via email that on move in day all I would need to provide as proof of insurance through MFIP would be a policy number. However when I attempted to move in, the staff member doing check in demanded to see my entire insurance policy. Additionally I was told I would have 24 hours notice before the Fire Marshall would be doing inspections. In reality I only received 15 hours notice.
It's a little pricey but definitely worth it. The amenities are great and all the features of the apartment are superb. Maintenance is quick and the staff is helpful.
I love living in downtown storrs, it is so convenient to so many restaurants and to campus. The oaks apartments are beautiful with the granite counter tops and dark flooring. Love the gym facilities and other amenities.
Clean apartment at move-in, quick response for maintencr requests, great location and friendly staff in the office. Happy to live here at the oaks
So far has been really nice living in the Oaks. I really enjoy how close it is to all of the shops in the area and how easy it is to be able to walk onto campus for class.
Overall very good place to live. Sometime the noise is loud and the halls are dirty, also when we came to our apartment there were a few things broken/dirty
noisy everyday party, never stop weeds, drinking all day. And finally too expensive for one single room. Too expensive but I like the rest of all
The Oaks are an amazing place to live with beautiful apartments and a great location, however it is a bit expensive and community staff sometimes is disorganized
Definitely made the right choice for my senior year living situation! Great location and atmosphere because it still has a college feel with much more!
Location and comfort wise, the apartments here are great. Unfortunately, over the last few years, the rent has continued to increase and management has gone downhill.
Everything has been very good so far. Everyone is very helpful and make themselves very available. All the amenities are very clean and well maintained. Very satisfied.
I've loved living at the oaks! They have awesome people working in the office! I love the location and the amenities provided! It's so beautiful here
The oaks is a great and vibrant community to live in as a full time student. I love the ammenities and parking availability. Would highly rccommend
So far to date the staff at the Oaks have been super helpful .Leasing agreement, insurance documents were all very easy to fill out and automated process saved trees for not printing paper..
I think that the apartment community is great because of all the shops. The apartments are also very nice. One thing I would like to change is the ability to have our own WiFi routers so that we can use chromecasts.
I paid a friend a visit a couple days ago, this is honestly 100 times better than my current apartment. I would definitely live here if I go to UConn!!
Great place to live. Convenient "off-campus" place to live at UConn. Maintenance responds quickly to requests. Management is nice and will do their best to help solve your problems. New apartments and clean place to live
So far it has been an incredible experience. I have loved the constant email reminders to ensure that I am staying up to date with everything and the costumer service truly does seem to be outstanding.
Beautiful facilities and accommodations for students who are looking for a higher quality living situtation for junior or senior year. Prices are extremely high for apartments in the area but are relatively the same as living in an apartment on campus. Faculty and staff are not the quickest to respond but if you go to the office they are very helpful!
Great place to live. I wish it was a little cheaper and sometimes the staff is very disorganized, but it is good overall. Much better than living in a tiny dorm on campus.
it took 4 months to hear back if I was going to be given an apartment. process is very slow and disorderly. almost made me rescind my application and live elsewhere.
People in the leasing office are super nice! It's close to Storrs center attraction and UConn, very convenient. The apt is awesome as a whole!
This is definitely a great way of getting residents involved. I had no clue I would get all of these cool reward opportunities by joining the Oaks.
I've lived at the Oaks for 3 years now. The apartments are in the pristine location of Storrs Center, directly adjacent to UConn's campus. They offer the best off-campus amenities around. The staff works very hard to ensure that all current and future residents have their needs attended to. I've been lucky to call the Oaks home for the majority of my college career and I can't thank them enough for making me feel a part of a great community.
The Oaks are a great community. However, there were issues with signing my lease originally due to some miscommunications. I am very happy to be living there next year however!
I am excited to live in a great community in a great area with great people. This has been a pleasant experience so far. Looking forward to a great year.
The oaks are very clean and high quality. They are very convenient to all food and shopping venues. They are right on the edge of campus which makes it easy to walk to class.
Oaks is goood:) My last semester living here but its probs the best off-campus housing option available at UConn. Staffs are friendly and are very helpful.
Having a great experience staying at the Oaks in Storrs. However, the office can be unorganized and we've received late fee notifications for bills that don't exist.
Service from the office has gotten worse. Delivered packages aren't notified and staff is unresponsive to email. Used to be better, unfortunately.
The atmosphere around the Oaks in Storrs center is enjoyable. The maintenance workers are amazing. Living conditions are great. The internet is such a downfall for this apartment complex. As students, I find it ridiculous that I cannot depend on wifi from my apartment and have to go to the library late at night if I am in dire need of accessing something. Either that or I go over on my phone' data plan every month. Also, it is a little pricey to live here... paying for the confidence of walking across the street to campus though.
The Oaks is located in a great neighborhood. The staff and maintenance team are friendly and helpful. The apartments are are beautiful and the nicest around.
Nice amenities, great location right on the edge of campus, clean interior and exterior, convenient package delivery system, having parking garage so close is very useful.
Internet sucks.. hasn't been good for the 4 years I've lived here.. other than that it's alright.. maintenance is very fast! Office staff is rude sometimes
The apartment itself is amazing - very new, clean, and has great appliances. The management can be hard to work with and sometimes they are hard to get in touch with.
As a resident at Oaks for 2 years, I am glad to see that it is keep improving its service. I would like to see more of award-winning interacting like wining a gift card or a discount. Keep it up. `
I really like living here at the Oaks on the Square. My only suggestion would be for friendlier maintenance workers. I have had very rude encounters with some of them.
I love my apartment, although the renewal rate is out of my price range. Your front office is very helpful although sometimes my packages get lost, but everyone makes mistakes.
Living so close to school is great and the condition of the apartments are very nice. Maintenance team is awesome and the administration staff is helpful.
We love our apartment and everything that the oaks has to offer! The location is fantastic. The facilities such as the gym and terrace are always clean and well maintained!
Great so far. Some noise issues here and there, but it is a comfortable living experience. I had some issues getting my email in the system but it is finally taken care of now.
The emails are helpful. The staff is sometimes a little confused and doesn't respond to emails. I have been dealing with some very loud neighbors and I hope that the oaks will do a better job in taking care of noise level.
Good - service at the office could be better sometimes mantaince takes awhile To respond to complaints or repair needs. Overall the apartments are nice buT definitely overpriced
Maintenance is always very fast and does a great job. The apartment is beautiful. I also love the new gym. The only thing that I've had a problem with is the slow internet on occasion.
Great service but occasionally disorganized when it comes to payments and applications for an apartment. Parking is also very expensive especially when mostly serving a college population.
Incredible experience. You guys are doing just fine. Love the additions of the gym, the convenience of having new restaurants like Blaze and Geno's.
The Oaks on the Square is such a wonderful community with an extremely friendly staff. Not only do they provide community building activities but they go out of their way to create a great atmosphere.
Great place to live but trying to connect to wifi is a legit living hell. The constant disconnection will likely give you an aneurysm and the medical bills that go along with that make this an expensive place to live.
I really enjoy living at oaks on the square. All of the people who work here are very helpful! I also really like how the oaks gives so many opportunities to meet other peopl in the community with the different social activities they have.
Good, living at the oaks is an amazing experience. When you have an issue and address it with the office they try to help you in anyway that they can.
The Internet and cable was absolutely horrendous and made it difficult to ever tell anyone to live here. Also the staff in the office were not helpful
You are doing a great job! I like the free bagels from the other day. The package system is helpful. The parking garage is very full and spots are limited.
Aside from slow wifi at times overall very pleased with the living arrangements. Lived on campus first 3 years here and this feels like a major upgrade from previous situations
The Oaks is THE BEST place to live. I can't imagine living anywhere else. The office staff is so friendly and looking to help out. I am going to be so sad when I leave
The quality of the apartments could have had more time into them but the community as a whole is great. Having so many stores and restaurants nearby makes getting food that much easier
Great! Love living at the oaks! Sometimes administrative things can take a long time and sometimes getting answers takes awhile but overall everyone is very nice and helpful! I wish there was a bigger gym for the amount of money we pay in rent we should have a gym that's more than 1 eliptical.
It's a great experience living in here with my friends, although sometimes the maintenance take a while to fix. I like how the office provides residents' events
The location is great but the quality of the apartment is not great for the price it costs to live here. Things break and get damaged really easily
The Oaks is a great place to live. The amenities are perfect for off campus housing for both students and regular residents alike. The staff tends to all of the residents' needs.
Have had problems receiving lease multiple times. Oaks continued sending lease to wrong email. Other than that, I should receive more amenities for the price I pay and better internet. The living space is very nice and location to UConn is the reason I have stayed for 3 years.
I love looking at the oaks because it's extremely convenient and I love the community. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I don't believe the price for rent is worth the quality of the apartment. Everything was put together poorly, so everything breaks or is beginning to deteriorate.
I love living at the oaks. I do believe the gym is too small though. The faculty is quick to respond and helpful. They have a lot of community activities.
I love living here. It is always clean. I love the appliances in my apartment and features like the gym and the terrace. My only complaint is that sometimes it can be loud. The walls are thin and I can often hear my neighbors too well.
Love the environment and quality of the apartments! The location so close to campus is ideal for students - there's no place I'd rather live!
It's a great place to live! In a perfect location! The staff has all been very friendly and helps you out with any situation you may run into
Building quality was rushed, and sometimes sloppy, but customer service is quite good. I enjoy all the rewards programs you have established, and it generates a nice sense of community.
The apartments are super nice, maintenance is quick, and the facilities provide more than enough support. Parking is hard to get though and everything is expensive. If you're willing to pay for it, do it!
My apartment is beautiful and the Oaks does a lot of programs for its residents! It is an extremely convenient location which allows you to walk to class, the library, etc without having to deal with UConn parking. It is definitely worth the extra money you pay in rent.
So far it's been alright. I've been living here for 2 leasing terms and in the beginning it was great, as the oaks began to become more popular I feel as though the managements only goal is to make money at the cost of older resident's happiness because now the customer services has changed & im getting charged for things that were never agreed upon before
It is a great place to live if you do not like to commute and wish to just be on campus all the time. Walking distance to school buildings, restaurants, bars, cafes, grocery store, dentistry, hair cuttery, and so on. The conditions are also new and modern. Just do not live near the gym to avoid the noise.

Good quality for a reasonable leasing price. Great location surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. Easy walking commute to UCONN's campus.
The Oaks on the Square is a great place to live! The location is unbeatable, and the many amenities that they offer here like the gym, the package concierge, and the printing room make it even more worthwhile.
The living space here is up to date, new, and clean with good appliances and amenities. Internet and cable service still have a lot of issues.
Living at The Oaks On The Square has been a life changing experience. I love the restaurants located in Storrs Center and the leasing staff are so nice and welcoming
Slow to do any major work, expensive to live here. The apartments are very nice, and we have a good size apartment but the apartments that are small don't work out well for the price. Wifi and tv service very spotty
Maintenance responds at a good pace, and everyone is very friendly. Our building is always very clean and we haven't had any major problems.
I live in oaks for half year and have an excellent living experience except no enough parking space. It bothers me a lot. I have to park to the F lot which has a long distance to oaks where I live.
Great place to live For it's location and amenities. Great community and atmosphere, especially with the addition of Blaze Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, and Gansett Wraps.
Great living environment for college students. Perfect location to campus as well as conveniently located in storrs center! Clean and family friendly environment
Lovely residence. Apartment and building still need finishing touches but overall great place to live. Building 6 door needs to start working
I am doing well. I am bothered that the the two doors leading into the building are never locked because anyone can enter that may try to break into a appartment.
Apartments were unfinished when we moved in and we are still running into issues every day. Yesterday maintenance had to come in and check the cabinets above our toilets because other residents were having issues with them FALLING OFF THE WALL AND CRUSHING THE TOILETS. People could be injured.
I really enjoy living here. My only complaint would be the construction behind our appartment and some of the mechanics of the building that being the thin floors so that everyone below us thinks we are having a party just when we are walking around so there's a constant scare to get a noise complaint when they have asked us to stop when we were literally just walking around as well as the Windows being broken
Living in the oaks is nice. The staff is helpful for the most part. When moving to a new room, the process is not fair if you have already lived there.
the staff is nice, but nothing is efficient; they need to have a better lease signing and room selection system. also they need to learn how to stick to construction timeline; now the new gym wont be ready for 2 more months and they said January
Love it I love this place it is amazing. So many great stores. Love the kitchen. Love the dishwasher love the bathroom love the sink. Love the door
I LOVE living in the oaks because the apartments are beautiful and maintenance is efficient but the office management leaves a lot to be desired
The customer service at the oaks is literally horrible. Most of the staff is rude, calls are never returned in a timely fashion, and we've had tons of issues with being charged incorrectly on various occasions.
It's been great living here so far, the apartments are beautiful! I also love the new shops that are being put in. The construction can be a little noisy at times, but that is to be expected
Living here is very nice. All problems that took place in our apt were almost immediately solved. The only negative thing I have to say is that the elevators malfunction more than they should.
Great job! Very efficient. Friendly staff. If there is an issue it is taken care of promptly. 🎈🎈🎈. The apartments are beautiful, well maintained. I would recommend The Oaks to anyone.
Environment is great and any maintenance requests are fixed in a timely fashion. Everyone working within the offices are extremely respectful. Only issue thus far is having the Internet shut off even though I have not had a late payment on rent
The place is quiet and convenient given its location. The staff are friendly and always welcoming. However, you should pay more attention to main the website, it says there are limited number of studios available when in fact there is no room at all!! This is ridiculous!
Nice looking apartment. Rushed to be made so many things wrong and low maintenance response. Also took until just about the end of the semester to get blinds up in our bedrooms which was just absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money we pay you every month.
The Oaks on the Square is a great place for students to live at. It's quiet, conveniently close to campus, and the studio apartments are large. Also, the friendly CAs at the Oaks always host many fun community events. With the completion of the various stores in Storrs Center, there are many places to go and shop or eat at.
I love love love my apartment! Beautiful!
4 stars because student staff can be unprofessional at times- Several office issues so far. Compensation innacuracy after the late move in, I had to visit the office several times
The oaks is a great place to live. It's walking distance to campus and many UConn buses are close by. The apartment buildings are always quiet and clean.
Awesome environment in general, the only thing to work on would be calling back/ answering the phone. I've called sometimes three times a day, and email if I have an important question and no one seems to get back to me
Love living here! It's a clean and safe environment. It also is convienent being located in the middle of storrs center. My only complaint would be occasional noise on the weekends but that is a given at any college living area
The Oaks is nice, but sometimes things take awhile to get done, and the apartment on move-in day could have been in much better shape than it was.
Decent. Good amenities and rooms are very nice but service isn't as fast as it could be. Maintenance repairs are slow and lots of things break.
The Oaks is a beautiful community to live in with many amenities and services that any college student would find helpful. I suggest living here!
My apartment keeps getting forgotten for some of the updates - for example, we still don't have blinds! Otherwise, it's been great. I like the activities that are put together for residents, and can't wait for more shops to open!
Such an amazing place to live and a great community. There hasn't been any problems or concerns that I have had since moving in! Can't wait to continue to live here next year.
Living at the Oaks is great. The apartments are beautiful. I love the community, theres always something to do. The studio space is larger than expected and the apartments are quiet
I really like the system for picking up packages from the mailroom, I just wish there was a way to have something like that in our own building instead of having to walk all the way to building 5.
I love my apartment and how there are events that are planned in the main building. It took a while for the small fixes to get done by construction. Overall very pleased
The oaks has done an awesome job with all of the questions that my roommates and I have had. We had to move it past our lease start date but it was handled very well.
I enjoy living here very much. It is beautiful and up to date. It is located in such a perfect spot as well right above food, atm, cvs and near a grocery store. I am a student at uconn and this apartment is closer to campus than the on-campus apartment I had previously!
The system seems very unorganized and I often get conflicting answers to questions from different staff members. The parking fees are extremely high and the raise in rate is disheartening, especially considering how many problems we had when we moved in.
The Oaks on the Square is a beautiful apartment complex that I really enjoy living in. I love how hard they work everyday to complete construction as fast as they can. I can't wait to see what it looks like next year!
it would be better if you guys answer phone calls more often
it would be better if you guys answer phone calls more often
it would be better if you guys answer phone calls more often
Great place to live, just a little expensive. Awesome perks with full bathrooms, kitchens, AC, and washer/dryer. Perfect location, close to many new businesses, modern and clean apartment style. I would definitely recommend the Oaks as the best place to live in the sports/UConn area.
Good resident services and overall great place to live. However, of something is to happen on the weekend that needs immediate attention, there is no one To call, not even an emergency number. Also, the room sizes are inconsistent. I pay more rent than my friend who lives in a BIGGER room, even though hers is a one bed room regular and mine is a one bedroom large. They need to reevaluate that.
The oaks are very nice except I hate the fact that I live above the automobile shop and it is very loud every morning. I know they can't help this but it would have been nice to know.
Overall nice place to live, although the office can be disorganized with information and does not respond to emails. They have been improving with the package system.
Although I'm happy with my apartment here at the Oaks, there have been a few issues so far this year that have been a little frustrating, including slow response to maintenance requests and things in our apartment breaking/ not working properly. Considering the apartments complex is brand new, I have no others complaints and an recommending for my friends to live here next year!
Nice place to live, but I've had several problems with utilities that have taken a long time to get fixed, particularly TV, Internet, and our broken washer.
I like living here, sometimes people don't get back to you very quickly and I'm not sure I agree with raising the rent every year, but I like it here
Living here is okay. It is overpriced however. I would think for the amount of money per month it costs the internet would be reliable and dealing with maintenance issues would be smoother. It is also concerning how there have already been gas leaks in the newer buildings.
Pretty good! The staff are always present and the conditions are good. Though, one complaint I have is some unsanitary residents on the 4th floor of building 5 who leave food on the floor, sometimes in a pattern as if they're Hansel and Gretel. smh
Absolute best place to live around Uconn campus. Dorms don't compare to the quality of life you get living at The Oaks. I'm so glad I made the switch to apartment life.
The oaks are a great place to live. It is clean and a convenient location to campus. A lot of my friends live here too which is a bonus!!!!!
Overall the experience has been great. I would like to see a change in the way that rent is tracked, specifically with allowing details about what resident has paid and who has not.
Need a better online system for tracking rent and which residents have paid. The electricity that we work with is also a bit expensive. But everything else is great.
The location is great, with Storrs Center and campus at walking distance, the apartments are beautiful, and the 24/7 mail room is super convenient.
able to hear upstear's music . Total is quite good but rent also is expensive.
Provide a two-page summary of the issue you are addressing. High
Package concierge is a convenient addition. And Kayla is extremely helpful in the leasing office. But for the price we pay, there should be more amenities.
The smell on the 5th floor of building 1 is still there and has been since I moved in. I think it's coming from the trash room but I'm not sure.
Love the location and apartment but it's a bit expensive for what we're getting. Also, since there are many stores on the first floor of the buildings there's a large number of LOUD delivery trucks driving around at all hours of the day which is really hard to handle.
Office is a little cramped but staff are nice most of the time. Good amentities and services. Internet is working better now but still lags at night. Using multiple devices at once results in phone lagging etc.
Love living in these apartments - so close to everything in Storrs including all my classes! Also love being able to have my pet with me in college
Overall, pretty well. The only downside is the major noise that comes each morning from the construction. However, there is not much that can be done about that.
I've been really encouraged by the support and enthusiasm of staff in helping residents with concerns. I'm very happy I decided to stay on for a second year.
I love the oaks! Top of the line everything. Great staff and very accommodating. They offer a parking garage too which is very convenient. I love living here.
The location and amenities have been great! Try to do a lot of community events and get residents involved. Maintenance is super nice and always says hi!
I love living at the Oaks on the Square. It is quiet and conveniently located close to the University of Connecticut campus. The building are brand new and clean and nice.
i love living here and I'm so glad that I chose the oaks. It is clean, sophisticated and I am always helped when needed. Wish I moved in earlier
The apartments are nice and clean. It has a really great atmosphere with all the stores around. Living here is convenient as a student.
My biggest complaint is the wifi, I have to use ethernet chords most of the time.
Great! Fun and interactive way to raise awareness and bring publicity to the Oajs on the Square! How do I get the prize though? I want the Starbucks gift card.
I think with how quickly everything was put together, there are a lot of positives. Everything is put together, besides the occasional blown lightbulb. Nothing bad to say about my experience so far.
Maintenance is very timely and extremely helpful. Some issues at the beginning of the lease term were frustrating like packages and our rent not showing up online
The only bad this was moving in late and we still don't have our blinds. Other than that the place is beautiful and we love living here. Thank you!
The Oaks is a fantastic place to live and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking to move off campus. Nice appliances, environment, HD TV channels, and the maintenance team is super friendly. Move-in was a little slow this year, but other than that it's been a pleasure.
Responsive to maintenance requests. Easy to make appointments with a few days notice. Flexible with lease changes. This apartment complex is in high demand, so you need to reserve an apartment in late fall if not earlier.
Management is not always on top of things! We have had problems with maintenance and wifi as well. But you guys are good with helping us fix these issues.
The place is beautiful but sometimes there are things that needs to be fixed. I had rain water seep through the carpet and ruin my furniture before but the oaks graciously agreed to refund me the money. There were some things that didn't seem 100% perfect but the oaks were responsible enough to solve any problems I had.
Great!! Love the environment and the people that work here. Really an awesome place to come home to everyday. The apartment is perfect for me.
Major internet issues in the beginning of the year. The problem was solved but took a long time/ complaint was not taken seriously. Nice new package system.
I love to live here. i am living at new building. it is so good and i have high ceiling. i love the relaxed ambience of the apartment. Thank you.
I give the Oaks on the Square a 5 star because I really enjoy it here. The rooms are up to date and very clean and nice. The price is good for what you get as well.
I love living here. It's beautiful and quite peaceful most of the time. Staff is also friendly. I just wish I had more considerate neighbors. Even so, I'd still renew my lease here :)
The office staff is sometimes cold and not very welcoming. As a resident who has never experienced living in an apartment before, my questions are often treated as if they are unnecessary.
I have been very unsatisfied with the Oaks this year. We were told our blinds would be in weeks ago but we still have none. I also feel as though there is little correspondence with the office and contractors. The oaks should have waited to start the new projects of the condos until all of the current projects were finished.
I love living in the Oaks on the Square. The area is beautiful, the location is perfect, and I'm close to my classes that I take at UConn. Of course it's a little pricey for a college student, but it is worth the cost.
The Oaks buildings itself are beautiful and well maintained. The organization and customer service could use improving. With a lot of construction in the area it is hard to study and get rest.
The experience has been good so far. The compensation for inconveniences offset the construction that was present during move in. At the beginning the wifi had some trouble, but now it is working much better.
I think you are doing a good job, I enjoy living here and the atmosphere is great. I like having activities to do, and the staff is really nice and helpful.
Aside from initial maintenance issues, the experience has been great. When we moved in, there were some problems with shelving, Internet, and other small things, but those were all fixed.
I love living here in the oaks. The staff of great, the apartments are beautiful and I don't think I could have picked a better place to live!
We finally got our blinds yesterday, halfway through the semester. Other than that, the apartments are awesome. The convenient location makes life much easier.
Even though there was a rocky start, I think accommodations were made and everything has been smooth since those first few weeks. However some of my phone calls and emails still have not been addressed
The office is some time's frustrating to deal with, but they will eventually find you an answer. Haven't yet used to new package system, but it's nice to be able to get packages at any time now!
The oaks has been an overall good experience. The lease office staff is usually very accommodating. Certain specific details sometimes get lost when they get busy though. Attention to details like changes in contact information on accounts seem to be missed occasionally. However work permits are very prompt and the area is always kept and clean.
I think oaks does a great job in taking care of the residents. But there are still space for improvement. For example, during Saturday morning, there should not have trash truck at 8. People are still need to sleep.
the oaks is doing a great job. The location is perfect and it is so convenient to get to campus. Anytime we have had a problem it was solved immediately.
The staff have been very helpful and friendly in answering questions and picking up packages. And I like there is always some giveaways at the leasing office.
Doing a great job! Community areas are always clean and trash rooms are always tidy. My one recommendation is to add sanitizer and rags to wipe down elliptical machines in the cardio room on the second floor in building 3!
I am loving my experience here at The Oaks on the Square! Great environment to live in. Staff is nice and maintenance is always available if you need it. Would recommend
The apartments are beautiful and spacious;love living in them. However, I hate that I have lived here for almost 7 weekend I still have no blinds.
Great living community. Only issue is the online payments could be run slightly better, but overall great place and good people! The ammentities are great as well!
i have no complaints. I've been living here since August and living here another year. The apartments are conveniently located near UConn and Storrs Center
The oaks is probably the nicest off campus housing. It's very close to campus, and there are a lot of nice stores downtown. There really aren't too many cons you definitely get what you pay for.
Great housing, and great location on campus. Some stuff breaks easily such as dishwasher, garbage disposal, but they are always quick to fix it. Definitely recommend this to anyone.
I love living here! The location is obviously one of the best benefits of The Oaks on the Square, and truly I wouldn't pay as much to live here if it were any further away. I tell my friends who are interested that they really are paying for location. However, the fantastic maintenance staff (who have responded to our requests in the past within 24 hours and who are always friendly and helpful) is a significant plus. Nobody else near campus has such timely responses (sometimes not even on-campus housing). Having 24 hour internet included in our rent is also hugely important for me. Most of my classes have gone digital and I wouldn't be willing to live anywhere without internet access during college. The apartments themselves are great, the new appliances are a definite bonus. The staff is usually so friendly and even go so far as to remember my name. I don't often attend events, but seeing the friendly emails and just knowing that they're available makes me feel like there's a good community here.
At the oaks, I've had no real issues. The building is always kept clean, and the staff have been genuinely helpful. Even when my heating had issues, the maintenance guys fixed it the next day. Living here has been great.
The accommodations at the Oaks on the Square are very nice, and maintenance is helpful in the event of needing repairs. The rent is set well above neighboring complexes - they understand the housing monopoly based on university students' needs.
Lived here since it opened and have loved every minute of it. Friendly and hard working staff, beautiful property, close proximity to campus and prime location in Storrs Center. Excited to see what it is like once all of the construction is finished.
Is there anyway we can have a separate room for mail pick ups so we won't disturb the office activities when we have to come in and pick up the packages.
Great place to live, just very pricey and not sure if its totally worth the value. Maintenance is very quick and easy to work with. People in the office are very friendly and helpful. Parking garage is a mess and over crowded in the "reserved" area.
I love the Oaks! The apartments are absolutely beautiful and the staff have always been so helpful. Everything is within convenient walking distance and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Best apartments in the Storrs area by far.
I love living here. It's quiet and cozy. The apartments are the best you'll find in Storrs and the quality can't be beat. The only downer is that parking is expensive.
Comfortable apartment building with many amenities. Friendly office and maintenance staff always willing to help. Convenient parking garage connected to building three.
Awesome! It is a pleasant and clean environment with a friendly staff. The amenities gives the entire complex an 'upscale' feel. I would definitely refer my friends!
For the most part I really enjoy living at The Oaks on the Square. I love the proximity to campus, and I love having a washer and dryer in my unit.
I absolutely love living here! The facility is beautiful, the location is great, and maintenance is always prompt! My only complaint is that there are disruptive dogs on my floor that make a great deal of noise at night.
The Oaks on the Square is a good place to live. It is close from a lot of great places (including a big supermarket) and there is also a transportation center close by.
